செம்மொழியாம் தமிழ் மொழி ஐயாயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முற்பட்ட வரலாற்றை உடையது. தமிழ் மொழி பல்வேறு மொழிகளுக்குத் தாயாக விளங்குகின்றது. தொன்மையும் செம்மையும் அதன் இயல் வடிவாய் நின்று பிற மொழிகளின் தோற்றுவாய்க்கு அடிப்படையாக விளங்குகின்றன. மானுடன், மொழி, இலக்கணம், இலக்கியம், இசை, நடனம் என்னும் கலை வடிவங்கள் ஆகிய அனைத்தும் செவ்வியல் நிலையை எய்திருக்கும் தொன்மை தமிழுக்கான வடிவம். முன்னை ஆய்வுகள் தமிழுக்கு அணி சேர்க்கின்றன. இருப்பினும் நாம் செல்ல வேண்டிய ஆய்வின் எல்லை வெகு தொலைவில் உள்ளது. செவ்விலக்கிய ஆய்வுகளின் கருவியினோடு புத்திலக்கிய வடிவங்களை எட்டும் நிலையில் தமிழிலக்கியம் பல்வேறு புதிய அறிவியல் செழுமையை எய்தும் என்பதே உண்மையாம். ஆகவே, அத்தகைய அறிவியல் நிலையில் நின்று தமிழின் ஆழ அகலங்களை வெளிக்கொணரும் கட்டுரைகளைப் படைப்பதன் வாயிலாக தமிழின் தரமுயர்த்தும் பணியினை பேராசிரியர்கள், ஆய்வாளர்கள், தமிழார்வலர்கள், படைப்பாளர்கள் மற்றும் புரவலர்கள் ஆகியோரின் கடமையாகும்.
ஆய்விதழ் நோக்கம்
ஓராண்டிற்கு இருமுறை இருமொழிகளில் (தமிழ் மற்றும் ஆங்கிலம்) வெளிவரும் தமிழ்மொழி மற்றும் இலக்கிய பன்னாட்டு ஆய்விதழ் தமிழ் வளர்ச்சியின் நவீன முன்னேற்றங்களை அனைவரும் மதிப்பிட்டு புரிந்து கொள்ள உதவுவது இதன் நோக்கமாகும். இவ்விதழானது இலக்கியம், பண்பாடு, நாட்டுப்புறக்கலை, கோயிற்கலை, சித்த மருத்துவம், மொழியியல், திறனாய்வு, தமிழிலக்கிய படைப்புகள், உளவியல், பெண்ணியம், ஒப்பியல் நோக்கு, உலகளாவிய மொழிபெயர்ப்பு இலக்கியங்கள் போன்ற தமிழ் சார்ந்த பிற தளங்களையும் அறிவியல் கண்ணோட்டத்தில் நோக்கும் விதமாய் அமைந்துள்ளது.

பேராளர்கள், ஆய்வாளர்கள், எழுத்தாளர்கள் மற்றும் தமிழ் ஆர்வலர்களின் நேர்த்தியான ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகள் வரவேற்கப்படுகின்றன. அனைத்து ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகளும் ஆய்வுக்குட்படுத்தப்பட்டு இணையத்தில் வெளியிடப்படும்.

The classical Tamil language boasts a history dating back over five thousand years. Tamil is considered the mother of several languages. Its antiquity and classical nature, inherent in its very form, serve as the foundation for the origin of other languages. Humanity, language, grammar, literature, music, and dance – all these art forms have attained a classical status in the ancient Tamil tradition. Previous research adds to the glory of Tamil. However, the frontiers of research we need to explore are still vast. The truth is that by employing the tools of classical literary studies to reach new literary forms, Tamil literature will attain various new levels of scientific enrichment. Therefore, it is the duty of professors, researchers, Tamil enthusiasts, creators, and patrons to elevate the status of Tamil by creating articles that reveal the depth and breadth of Tamil from such a scientific perspective.
Journal Objective
This international journal of Tamil language and literature, published twice a year in two languages (Tamil and English), aims to help everyone evaluate and understand the modern advancements in Tamil development. This journal is designed to examine Tamil language and literature, culture, folk arts, temple arts, Siddha medicine, linguistics, criticism, Tamil literary works, psychology, feminism, comparative perspectives, and global translated literature, among other Tamil-related fields, from a scientific viewpoint.
